In Elmvale for their third
game of the playoffs, the Stars once again found themselves
dominating every aspect of the game but unable to score.
Dalton Risk ripped a blast off the crossbar, Devon Jessup(1A) rang the post multiple times, and Jack LeBlond got robbed blind point-blank. Finally, five minutes into the third period and down a goal, Wasaga ended the drought when blueliner Nathan Olson (1G) weaved his way through defenders and cut to the net to lift a backhander over the pads and tie the game 1-1.
The Stars continued to press. Braedyn Gallant put on a stickhandling clinic, and Player of the Game Hudson Alward(1A) was relentless in the offensive zone. Then, with time winding down, Elmvale inexplicably pulled their goalie, swarmed the net, and slid a rebound across the line for the stunning win. A mere 2.6 seconds remained on the clock.
