Castle Building Centre

The MacLean family came to Wasaga Beach in 1986 to escape the rat race in Toronto. Wasaga Homecare now Castle was the reason for coming. The town had 5000 people and not one stoplight. After the long weekend in September everyone left. So we shoveled snow and skied at the mountain. There were no computers, no internet, 2 lane roads and no Tim’s and no MacDonald’s. Actually life was quite peaceful. Where WalMart is was bush as was the area of the Superstore. Many of you will remember Zehrs, The Waldhorn, Borthwicks, The Nancy, The Dyconia, The IGA, Marlwood and several other places that are nameless.×
