Zach V. Pops in Pair for Tyke 1 Stars
The Wasaga Beach Tyke 1 Stars hosted the Elmvale Coyotes on Saturday, fighting in the battle of Highway 92.

The Tyke 1 Stars were focused on the task at hand with a strong Elmvale team.  A quick pep talk before the opening face off from Coach Jenn got the team ready for action.  With Coach Matt away scouting before the trade deadline, he sent a message to tell the kids to make Elmvale "swim with the fish".
Getting the start for the Stars was the "Messiah of the Meshed Mansion", Jake L.  He made save after save against the Coyotes, even snatching a wrist shot out of the air with his glove.  The "Bash Brothers", Jacob D. and Mason B, were a two man wrecking crew, knocking guys to the ice whenever the chance arose.  Carsten K. was great on the draws all afternoon, winning face offs to his wingers, Cooper H. and Adrian D.  The fore checking of Aedan T. and Kate S. didn't go unnoticed by the scouts in the crowd, who put rave reviews online for next years #1 pick to the Edmonton Oilers.  Colwyn R. played a great game, back checking against Elmvale, striping them of the disk.
With Bella G. out with a lower body injury,(She actually wasn't hurt but it make the story sound better) "The Twisted Sisters" were apart for the first time this season.  Chyna S. did a great job on the back end without her partner in crime.  Zach V. had another coming out party, dangling around the Coyotes and putting a couple goals top cheddar.
The "Playmaker of the Game", Nicky B. stepped to the plate and played some great defense in the absence of Bella G.  Nicky was playing hard all game in the defensive end, dumping the puck off the boards and skating the puck out of our end.  The kids all played great and are improving every game.  This weekend we host the Coldwater Wildcats at the Wasaga Stars Arena.

On a side note, Cheri and I would like to thank all the parents and kids for taking the time to be a part of our picture for the contest to get married at the Air Canada Center.  We appreciate the extra time that some of the parents did to help us prepare.  A big thanks to the Atom Rep team for allowing us to use up some of there practice time so we could get different pictures.  We will keep everyone updated if we make it to the voting period.
