Wasaga Stars Tyke 1 Have Great Effort Against Flames
The Wasaga Beach Tyke 1 Stars travelled to Penetang to try and extinguish the Flames. The kids gave a great effort but are having a hard time snapping their losing streak.
With Zach V. still sitting out his track suit suspension, the Stars were already down their leading scorer. But that didn't stop the Stars from giving the Flames all they can handle. The "Bash Brothers", Jacob D. and Mason B. were a two man wrecking crew on the back end, and the "Twisted Sisters", Bella G. and Chyna S. kept the puck out of the Stars zone. Jake L. and Carsten K. did a great job in the face off circle, winning every draw they took. Adrian D., Colwyn R. and Aedan T. did some great fore checking along the side boards, crashing the net at every opportunity. Kate S. and Nicky B. played a hard two way game, back checking the Penetang team and pressuring the puck in the offensive zone.
The "Playmaker of the Game" was the "Custodian of the Cord Cottage", Cooper H. With no practice between the pipes, Cooper stepped up in goal, making lots of saves against a strong Penetang team. The kids played a great game, the parents and coaches are very proud of the effort the kids are giving every game.
The Wasaga Beach Stars Tyke 1 take on the Tyke 2 Stars on Sunday at the Wasaga Stars Arena.
