Huge Saves From Jacob D. As Tyke 1 Stars Host Tyke 2!!
The Wasaga Beach Tyke 1 Stars hosted the Wasaga Beach Tyke 2 Stars on Saturday March 1st in a battle of home turf. Coach Mike was in the press box for this game, after taking a hard shot to the face in practice with a hard one timer from the "Twisted Sisters", Bella G. and Chyna S.
With Zach V. sitting out his 3rd of his 3 game suspension for his track suit, the Tyke 1 Stars were in for a battle. Jake L., Carsten K. and Nicky B. had their work cut out for them, trying to keep the Tyke 2 Stars off the board. With their hard fore checking and great back checking, they kept the Tyke 2 Stars at bay. Colwyn R. and Cooper H. were playing with attitude, knocking the Tyke 2 team down with all of their might. Mason B. was great on the back end, dumping the puck off the boards, getting the puck out of the defensive end. Kate S. and Adrian D. had the Tyke 2 Stars on their toes all game, getting shot after shot on a strong goalie. The "Warrior of the Woven Wigwam", Jacob D. stepped between the pipes for the first time in his short career, pouncing on the puck at every opportunity.
The "Playmaker of the Game" went to Aedan T., for all of his hard work and great play all game.
The Wasaga Beach Tyke 1 Stars host the dreaded Elmvale Coyotes on Saturday March 7th at the Wasaga Stars Arena.
