January 25 vs Collingwood
This weekend's playoff rematch proved to be a
nailbiter one of the most exciting games of the year! Stars forward Keiran
Fancett (1G) opened the scoring late in the first period on the pass from Cole
Sacerty (1G, 1A) to give Wasaga the lead; Sacerty then added a goal of his own
on a wraparound in the second to increase the lead to two. Collingwood broke the
goose egg halfway through the third, then drew even on the power play with only
minutes remaining in regulation to send the match to overtime. Game 2 of the
playoffs ended in heartbreak for the gutsy Stars as the Blackhawks scored three
minutes into the extra frame.
