Wasaga Stars Face Coyotes at Home
Wasaga Stars Tyke 3 played on home ice on Sunday afternoon vs the Elmvale Coyotes 2.
The Stars are really coming together as a team this season. Trying new positions and making good use of what they learn at practice every week.
Emma Pomeroy stood tall on defence and played her position like a champ. She covered her player infront of the net and dug in the corners when she had too. Emma showed a lot of hustle on the fore check and frustrated the Coyotes throughout the match. Needless to say Emma was awarded the team hard hat for her extra effort.
Avery McNamara and Cruz Doner put 3 points on the board for the green and white with the help of their line mate Kingston Inman. Miller Black, Landon Tardif and Jackson Rolling had a great game on defence breaking up plays and getting the puck out the the Stars end.
Christian Markic centered a line with Andrew Dore and Jessica Durance. They worked hard in the defensive zone the whole game helping their team mates fend off the relentless attack of the Coyotes. Serenity Ferarri once again got the nod in goal and played fantastic making some big league saves.
Great effort by the whole team. The Stars find themselves in Penetang next Sunday vs the Flames for their second meeting of the year. Good luck.
