Stars Put Out the Flames
Wasaga Stars Tyke 3 put out the red hot Penetang Flames in their own barn.
The action was fast and furious at both ends of the ice. Jackson Rolling was solid in goal coming up with big saves to keep his team in it.
The Flames managed to take the lead early but the Stars were shining on this afternoon. Christian Markic scored 2 goals with assists coming from his line mates Cruz Doner and Cohen Rutte. Avery McNamara scored a hatrick to secure the win with assists coming from Miller Black and Jessica Durance.
The defensive pairings of Andrew Dore, Kingston Inman, Emma Pomeroy and Serenity Ferrari were like fire extinguishers... putting out the Flames at every opportunity. Andrew Dore's relentless forechecking and defensive hustle earned him the hard hat for the game.
The Stars played a great game and should be proud. Their next game is Saturday on home ice versus the Coyotes.
