Double Header Weekend For The Stars
Wasaga Stars Tyke 3 played a double header over the weekend palying the Elmvale Coyotes 1 and Penetang Flames 1.
The Stars played a tough match versus the first place Coyotes on Saturday. Avery McNamara managed to put a point on the board for the good guys with helpers from his line mates Jessica Durance and Miller Black. Jessica played a fantastic game and tried her best showing a lot of hustle in the defensive zone, earning her the coveted yellow hard hat for the game. Jackson Rolling played another stellar game in goal stopping break aways on several occasions.
On Sunday the Stars played the hot Flames on the road. It was a nail biter right to the end with Jackson Rolling stopping a breakaway with seconds left in the game to tie it up. Once again Avery McNamara put 2 points on the board with helpers from Miller Black and Cruz Doner. That was all they needed as the defensive trio of Serenity Ferrari, Andrew Dore and Emma Pomeroy shut the door on the flames to help come up with the big win.
It was a hockey filled weekend for the stars with 2 games and 2 practices in 4 days. Their hard work continues to pay off as they look forward to their next game versus the Wildcats.
