The Stayner Cyclones were in Wasaga Beach on Saturday to
play the Stars in their final home game of the regular season.
The Stars played another great game in front of their home town and gave it everything they had. They fell short in the end to a Cyclone team that was firing on all cylinders.
The Stars had few scoring opportunities in this match up but they managed 3 exciting goals by Gavin Sornsen, Landon Tardif and Brayden Martynuik. On defence Miller Black played another solid game on defence and continues to impress on the blue line.
Cole Rouse had his best game of the season on defence. He carried the puck out of his end, covered his player in front of the net, cleared the puck out of the defensive zone and fearlessly blocked shots even using his head on one occasion. For his extra hustle and great play Cole was awarded the Grit Grinder of the game by the coaching staff.
The Stars play their final game of the regular season next Saturday vs Essa
