Third Period Meltdown
Even after two periods then the Flames turned it up a notch.
The Penatang Flames turned it up a notch after two periods and the team was unable to slow them down.
Game summary:
1st period:
Sam open the scoring at 9:19 with assist from Tyler and Charlotte. The Flames answered right back scoring at 8:45.
Luke then broke the tie, scoring right off the face off with 5:48 remaining to round out the scoring going into the 2nd period. SOG: Stars 6-4
2nd period. Neither teams giving up to many opportunities, keeping the game close until the Flames were able to capitalize from a scramble in front of Dru with 3.4 secs remaining. SOG Flames 5-2
3rd period: The Flames got momentum from the late goal in the second to score 4 unanswered goals to take the wind out of our sails. Luke got one back with 1:59 remaining, but the Flames answered right back at the 1:30 mark. Jack answered with 1 minute remaining. final 7-4 SOG: Flames 12-8
Reminder to parents: For the coaching staff to prepare for the game properly, its imperative that players arrive minimum 30 minutes prior to game time. We have two girls on the team that are NOT ALLOWED in the dressing room until all male players are dressed properly. showing up less that 30 minutes is unacceptable.
Also: Parents other than coaching staff and on ice help are not allowed in the dressing room. This is an OMHA policy, failing to abide the policy can cause the coach to be suspended. if you need clarification, please speak to myself or the Coach.
