Home and Away versus Oro 1
Two very equal and hardworking teams.
It was a exciting two games this past weekend against the Atom Oro 1 team.
The first game, our team came away with a 3-2 win. Dru made a few spectacular saves to get us the win. The player of the match was Luke Leveque with the natural hatrick.(Where were the hats) Assits came from Michel (2) and Max (1). Luke leads the team in points with 8G 1A.
The second game in Oro, was a close checking game. Oro came out strong in the first period keeping us pinned in our zone and were able to score at the 6:32 mark.
The team came right to tie the game on a goal by Sam assiated by Andrew at the 8:13 mark. Teams tied 1-1 after one.
The second period the Stars pressured to take the lead, but were unable. The Oro team captilized on a pinch in from the blueline that caught us and scored to take a 2-1 lead into the third period.
Going into the third the team kept the momentum, trying to get that equalizer with some great scoring chances only to have the Oro goaltender keep it at 2-1.
Oro were able to score that 3rd goal and take a 3-1 lead. Oro wanted the win, they pressured us for the last 3 minutes of the game not allowing us to pull our goaltender for that extra attacker.
Overall some great exciting hockey provided by both teams this past week-end.
Coaches keep doing what your doing and the players will respond.
