First Game of the Season
What an exciting start to the season!!!
Tyke 1 traveled to Penetanguishene where they played a high-energy and action-packed game against the Penetang 1 team. The game was close, with goals going back and forth between the two teams throughout all 3 periods.
Sawyer B got things started with a goal midway through the first period which was quickly followed by Locklin D's goal. Cadence B was quick on the face-offs allowing Liam B and Lukas V to keep the pressure on the Flames. A second goal from Locklin D during the last minute of the period saw the Stars up 3-1 at the end of the first period.
Kingston I, Weston Mc, Spencer F and Haiden S worked hard to defend the net and keep the puck away from our goal keeper Ethan S, who did an excellent job blocking so many of the Flames' shots.
The second period saw a goal from Jack C, and some quick hustling from Hudson C, Malcolm T and Nolan L.
The Stars went into the third period down 5-4. Both teams fought hard and there were many shots on the two nets, keeping fans on their feet. With only four minutes remaining, Locklin D tied the game with his hat trick goal. The Flames came back with three quick goals in the last two and half minutes of the game and unfortunately the clock ran out of time for the Stars.
All players gave it their all and should be proud of how they played. Can't wait for our next game!
