Centenials Back in the Beach
Midland Centenials were back in Wasaga to play the Stars in first game of a home at home match up to close off the regular season rivalry.

The Stars pulled off a 1-0 upset over the Cens in their own barn the last time they met so the Stars knew they were looking for retribution.  With one of the Stars key offensive threats missing from tonight's line up, Coach Steve made some strategic moves in an attempt to bolster the Stars front end.

Both teams came out strong in the first period.  The Stars had some missed opportunities and great shots on goal but couldn't muster up the offence needed to put one past the Cens goalie.   Midland scored 3 unanswered goals through the next 2 periods to pull ahead by 4.   Late in the 3rd it was too little to late for the Stars as they managed to score one goal to end the game 4-1.

The Stars defence was shining bright in tonight's match up.  Playing hard in the corners and along the boards.  One of the pillars on defence all season was Aeden who kept his feet moving,  held the blue line and used his speed when back checking to frustrate the Cens offence all night.   For his hard work and disciplined play Aeden  earned the belt and was the Wasaga Warrior of the Game.   Way to go Aeden.

The Stars are back on the ice Saturday in Midland.

Go Stars.
