Midland came to town on February 14th for the Stars second
game in round robin action.
Love was not in the air with these two teams as the second place Centennials came to play. The Stars didn’t back down and demonstrated great two way hockey against a strong Midland squad.
The action was back and forth with strong play from the entire team. The Stars missed some golden opportunities with 2 goal posts and some shots that didn’t find the net. They out chanced the Centennials and seemed to be one step ahead the whole game which ended in a 3-3 tie.
Nick played some of the best two way hockey all season, making plays in the offensive zone with a nice goal and hustling hard on the back check supporting his defence. His extra effort and heads up play didn’t go unnoticed as he was awarded the Wasaga Warrior of the Game. Great job.
