The Attack placed first overall in the GBMHL and won every
game in their regular season games versus the Stars.
The Stars were prepared for a tough game having lost to the Attack earlier in the season 7-0. They came to play and were excited to use what they worked on at practice over the past several weeks.
From the opening faceoff the Stars seemed to control the game. Aggressive at both ends of the ice they produced several scoring opportunities forcing the Attack goalie to make some great saves. The defensive game was stellar as the Attacks offence was kept silent After two periods of play the Stars were leading the game 4-0. They scored another goal midway through the third and solidified a convincing 5-1 win.
The big win over a team that seemed to have their number earlier in the season is a testament to how hard the Stars have worked. They believe in themselves and what the coaches are trying to teach them. The fans and bench staff could not be more proud.
Cruz has been a work horse all season playing strong at both ends of the ice and producing points on the score board. His hard work and extra effort never go unnoticed and on this day he earned the Wasaga Warrior of the Game. Great job
