Stars Host the Flames
GBMHL round robin action continues as the Stars beat the Penetang Flames 7-3 on home ice.

The Stars came to play and once again showed the home town fans what they are made of.   The Stars took a 2-1 lead into the second period and didn’t look back from there, scoring three more in the second and two in the third to close the deal.

The defensive effort by the whole team was excellent and the puck movement out of the Stars end was exactly what the coaches wanted.   Brayden played hard all game digging in his corners and playing responsible hockey in front of the net.   His second effort on the puck and positional play was recognized by the coaches and was awarded the Wasaga Warrior of the Game.  Great job.

The Stars have one game remaining in round robin play and with a win they could potentially see themselves in the GBMHL group A finals, which has the top four teams separated by only 1 point.   The bean counters will keep a close eye on game results over the next two weeks.

The Stars next round robin game is on March 5th vs Collingwood Blackhawks.

Go Stars !
