What a Run!
The OMHA season is behind us and what a roller coaster ride of emotions

The Novice Reps finished their OMHA season beating some great teams to make it all the way to the finals versus the Frontenac Flyers.

The Stars were up against a very strong Frontenac team and deservedly the Flyers won the series and took home the Championship. Regardless of the outcome the Stars and their fans were treated to some exciting hockey.   They worked hard all season and deserved to be finalists.

WBMH and the Stars put on a great show for the visiting team and treated them with the hospitality and class that the Town of Wasaga Beach would be proud of.

At the beginning of the season if anyone suggested the Stars would be playing in the OMHA final or the GBMHL final they would have chuckled.  Having only won 5 games all season and playing against teams with rosters larger than the Stars had at their tryouts, they knew they had to work extra hard to get the wins they needed.

The Stars seemed to come alive in playoffs and bought into what the coaching staff was selling as they won 15 of their next 23 games, some of which were against teams that dominated them early in the season.

A Cinderella season without a doubt which makes it that much more special.

The Stars are playing for the GBMHL championship versus Midland.  With the series currently tied, the winner of the next game on March 28th will determine the Champion.

Go Stars!
