Wasaga Stars#1 vs Creemore Valley Hawks
The Stars winning streak continues with a 5-3 victory over the Creemore Valley Hawks.
It was "hockey night in Creemore" as the Stars travelled to Creemore for a Saturday night road game.
Both teams battled hard and played solid defense in the first period with the score tied 0-0 going into the 2nd period. Hunter scored the first goal for the Stars and Luke added another goal with 1 second left in the 2nd period giving the Stars a 2-0 lead. The game opened up in the 3rd period with both teams scoring 3 goals each. The Star's goals came from Andrew, Luke and Hunter with his second goal of the game with Luke, Hunter and Ben adding assists. Dru was able to hold off the surging Hawks with big saves in the 3rd period.
Player of the game was Dru, who continues to play well keeping his team in a tight matchup against the Creemore Hawks, with timely big saves. The Stars defense know they can take some offensive chances with Dru defending their net.
The Stars are hoping to get their 5th straight win on Sunday at home against a strong Essa Team.
