Having ended 2019 with an inspiring
regular season win, Bantam LL1 showed up at the 22nd annual Walter
Gretzky Tournament hungry for more and steamrolled their way through 6
games to hoist the Championship banner.
Wasaga's goaltenders put on a netminding clinic and stymied opposing shooters through periods of sustained pressure, while the offensive punch came from snappy passing, highlight-reel stickhandling and relentless hustle. Wasaga shooters racked up an impressive 41 goals to win all six games. In fact, at no time in the tournament did the Stars trail on the scoreboard.
This team played great hockey and drew compliments in the championship game for winning graciously. Congratulations and thank you for representing our community and association well!
