Carson is an offensive defenseman, who gets aggressively involved in the team's offence. He often pitches in to keep the play from going offside and moves towards the high-slot area for scoring opportunities. He Lifts the defensive abilities of teammates when on the rink. Carson sets the tone with his own strong example and work ethic and makes sure his teammates play with a high level of intensity and accountability.
