Wasaga Warm Up Classic Rules
The Wasaga Warmup Classic is a B - level youth hockey tournament in Wasaga Beach, Ontario! All games will be played at the Wasaga Stars Twin Pad Arena

Registration Fee - $1,300
Period length. 10-10-15 for Round Robin and Semi finals. Finals will be 10-15-15. Stop time periods.

Refund Policy
· All payments are non-refundable after September 1st, 2025. Any team choosing to withdraw after being accepted will be subject to $150 Admin fee
· Refunds will only be granted if the team provides written notice of their intent not to attend, 60 days or more before the first day of the tournament.
· Refunds will be issued in a form of a cheque
Format
Six teams in each age division, will play 3 games against the other pool. U13B has eight teams, playing the other three teams in their pool. The top four teams based on points accumulated from their round robin games in each age division will advance to a semi-final game. The winner of each semi-final game will advance to their divisional championship game.
Hockey Canada rules & OMHA regulations will govern. Our U13 division will have OHF rules and suspensions in effect.
Additional rules for our Tournament are:
1. Each team must report to the Tournament Office 45 mins prior to their games to sign the Game Sheet App.
- Bench staff may only sign the Gamesheet as listed on their team’s their team’s provided approved roster
- Teams must be prepared to play up to 15 minutes before their schedules start time.
- Any team not ready and able to play a scheduled game, for any reason, will forfeit that game. A forfeited game will result in a score of 2-0. Should the result of a game become a forfeit for any reason, the offending team will lose said points if earned
2. Gamesheet Inc. will be used, only players and bench staff on the Teams’ approved roster will be permitted to participate. All teams are to upload their team rosters on Gamesheet inc; once given a Gamesheet invite code for their tournament from Brackets, prior to their first game.
3. Home jerseys will be white (or lighter colour). If a colour conflict arises, the home team will be asked to wear their alternate set. If the home team does not have an alternate set, the visiting team will be asked to wear their alternate set.
4. If there is a 5-goal spread in the 3rd period, the clock shall become run time until the spread is reduced to less than 3 goals. If during the run time a penalty is assessed, penalty timings will remain unchanged.
5. One 30-second time out per team, per game, in round robin and playoff games.
6. Game duration: Period length 10-10-15 for RR and Semis, 10-15-15 for finals ** Game times are subject to change**
7. Players will shake hands prior to the game commencing of the game in a timely manner.
8. All protests must be accompanied by a $250.00 non-refundable fee. A protest will only be heard if it is brought to the Registration table and presented to the Tournament Director or delegate, within fifteen (15) minutes of completion of the game in question. A hearing and ruling will be completed prior to the team’s next scheduled game. All decisions made by the Tournament Director or Delegate(s) are final and MUST be respected. The Tournament Director and Delegate(s) reserves the right to make decisions regarding interpretation of the rules, objections, and protests. All decisions are final.
9. At any time, the Tournament Director or Delegate can and will have any player, parent, spectator removed from the building for misbehavior, verbal abuse, fighting or disrupting the tournament.
10. Dressing rooms will be assigned by Facility staff. Teams will be responsible for obtaining their assigned room fob. Teams are advised to lock your room when not present.
Tiebreaker Rules for Advancement to the Semi-Finals
Most Points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss)
1. Should two teams be tied in points = Winner of head-to-head game will get the higher ranking. (only if two teams are tied. If more than 2 teams are tied move to #2)
2. Goal Differential (Goals For / (Goals For + Goals Against)
3. Fewest Goals Against
4. Fewest Penalty Minutes in all Games Played.
5. The team that scored the earliest goal in their round robin game involving the tied teams
6. Coin flip (team from farthest away will call the flip, winner of flip gets higher position)
Goal Differential = Total number of goals for, divided by the total number of goals for and against.
Example: 10 GOALS FOR, 4 GOALS AGAINST
Goal Differential Calculation: 10/(10+4) = .714
NOTE: The higher percentage gains the higher position. All round robin games to be included.
OVERTIME RULES
1. No overtime in round robin games.
2. Semi-final and Championship game tiebreakers are decided by overtime periods structured as follows:
One, 5 -minute sudden victory period of 3 on 3. In the event the game remains tied, a shoot-out will occur and 3 different players from each team will commence an alternating shoot-out to determine the winner. The home team will shoot second visitor shoots first. If still tied, a simultaneous shootout will commence until one team successfully scores and the other team is unsuccessful. Players may not shoot twice until all players on the team (except goaltenders) have been utilized.
