Shallow Lake Final Update
Saturday, the Stars went on to beat Paris 5-0, leaving the final match-up between the Stars and Shallow Lake to decide who would face Hagersville in the final Sunday afternoon.
The Wasaga and Shallow Lake teams were very evenly matched. Wasaga suffering from a couple players under the weather as well as one player suspended mid game, battled hard but lost 3-2 with the final goal being scored by the Lakers in the last minute of play. Coach Trace praised the players for their teamwork and efforts, mentioning he would rather see such a hard fought battle and great hockey anytime over an easier win. Good work team! Very good tournament and enjoyable to watch.
Shallow lake went on to beat Hagersville in the final. Both the Atom and Peewee Shallow Lake teams won.
