STARS CONTINUE TO WIN
The Stars hit the road tonight for a game against Georgian Shores in Thornbury.

The defensive pairs of Maddox and Matthew as well as Owen and Aaron worked in harmony with an unbeatable Shayne to earn the goaltender his 5th shutout of the year . Zero penalties for the defense this game, great work.
The Georgian Shores tender also showed serious strength early in the game and the team knew they would have to step up their goal scoring abilities to get the puck across this goal line. Riley opened up with a top shelf goal and Griffin continued his point streak making it a 2 goal lead in the second period. The speed of Jackson and Patrick combining with Haydn's strength in the corners put pressure on the Georgian Shores team in the offensive end. Evan, Andrew and Riley assisted goals as well as Aaron and Matthew, showing more short and long passing power and plays involving the defensemen while in the offensive end. This is a key area coaches Paul and Charles have been working on. The assist race continues with 3 players already past the 10 assists level.
In the third period, it was time for the Collins boys to put on a show, and what a show it was. About the only thing worse than being in the rink without your toque on was to be between the pipes when a Collins had the puck. 3 "sniper" goals were scored between the pair in the third showcasing some serious Wasaga talent. There wasn't a safe corner in the net, with Owen finding room over the goalie's short side shoulder twice and Marcus taking care of the other side of the net.
Saturday's game is bound to be a good one as the Wasaga Stars host Collingwood to taking on the top Blackhawks team. Still good seats available.
