Wasaga took to the big ice surface in Midland looking to even the season series with the league-leading and undefeated Centennials. Midland opened the scoring midway through the first, but the Stars answered with a goal of their own only 15 seconds later to tie things up. Jack LeBlond (1A) slid a cross-ice pass to center Devon Jessup (1A), who quickly fed a streaking Joey Monahan (1G) who picked the corner to score and completed the highlight-reel play. The give-and-take continued and the game remained tied until 8 seconds left in the second period, when Midland regained the lead and began to pull away for good. Goaltender Dalton Risk was sharp in net, and another solid effort from winger Morgan Payne earned her Player of the Game status.
