After losing a very close game in their first meeting of the season, the Stars looked to even the season series with the Coyotes on home ice.
With goaltenders playing fine hockey on both ends of the ice, it took Wasaga halfway through the second frame to break the stalemate and open the scoring. Jack LeBlond(1A) carried the play into the offensive zone and forced the goalie to come up with a huge save with a rising wrist shot; the rebound fell to Jacob Curtis(2G), who made no mistake and buried the puck. Defenceman Braedyn Gallant provided some offensive punch with several end-to-end rushes, as did Mia MacNicol(1A) who used her speed to carry the puck through defenders, circle the net and feed the puck to the slot; lurking there was Jacob Curtis who sniped it home for his second of the night. With the game winding down, Dalton Risk(1G) added an insurance marker with a rocket to the top corner off some great passing from Devon Jessup(1A) and Braedyn Gallant(1A).
