Stars Make It 2 In a Row !!
Wasaga Stars Tyke 3 make it 2 in a row winning their second home game of the season vs the Coldwater Wild Cats.
The action on Saturday afternoon was fast and furious. The Stars found themselves down by 2 goals early in the first period but with the help of Kingston Inmann on left wing Cruz Doner scored 2 goals to tie up the the match. Christian Markic scored his first goal of the season giving the Stars the lead, his hustle at both ends of the ice was awarded by receiving the team hard hat for the game.
The Wild Cats managed to tie up the game but thats where it stopped. Jessica Durance closed the doors in net making huge saves throughout the game. Emma Pomeroy was solid on defence making her debut on the blue line.
The flood gates opened in the second half of the game with Avery McNamara scoring 4 unanswered goals.
The Stars showed a lot of heart and determination coming back from a 2 goal deficit for the win. Their hard work at practice continues to pay off. Great job by all.
