The Stars earned there first win of the season edging out Stayner 3-2.
The Stars defense of Nate, Heather, Chyna, Kaleb and Damien played a solid defensive game and Dru once again came through with some big saves. The forwards also back checked hard frustrating Stayner with a great defensive effort by all the Wasaga Star players.
The Stars had the lead all game until Stayner tied it up with 4 minutes remaining in the 3rd period but the Stars never gave up and with 14 seconds remaining in the game while being shorthanded, Luke batted in the game winner which made the crowd go crazy!
Nate scored a goal and Luke added 2 more for the Stars while Ben and Maddox earned assists.
Player of the game award was given to Ben who back checked all game to help his defenseman out and had some quality scoring chances throughout the game. He also assisted on the game winner.
