First Exhibition Game
Wasaga Stars Tyke 1 played their first exhibition game of the year vs their home town friends Tyke 2.
For many of players on this years team it was the first time playing a hockey game with referees, penalties and the dreaded off side. Both Tyke squads from the Wasaga stable showed a lot of heart and determination. The action was back and forth with great saves at both ends of the ice and equal scoring opportunities.
Tyke 2 edged out Tyke 1 with only seconds left on the clock scoring the eventual game winner. The dramatic loss did not break their resolve. They congratulated their goalie for a great game and skated off the ice with huge smiles on their face and eager anticipation for their next game.
The coaching staff are very proud of the hard work the team has demonstrated over the past few weeks and look forward to a great regular season which begins on December 6 vs the Stayner Cyclones.
