Stars make it 2 in row on the road in Creemore.
The Stars were
flying high as the Hawks got their wings clipped on home ice Sunday afternoon
It looked like the game could have gone either way in the first half of the match up. Jake Lavers and Christian Markic managed to open the scoring in the first period but the Hawks defence kept it close.
Well into the second period the Stars relentless fore check proved too much for the Hawks as the flood gates opened and the Stars offence came to life. Locklin Diver and Hudson Bradford added to the scoring total with 2 assists coming from Meckenzie Brannigan, and Gavin Sorensen. Connor Wyville held the Hawks to only 2 goals between the pipes.
Highlight of the game was Hudson Bradford who volunteered to play defence for the first time. Keeping true to his defensive responsibilities he was an offensive threat as well by scoring a goal and getting an assist for good measure. He looked like a Paul Coffey reincarnation making mad rushes up the ice from his own end. With that said he was awarded the “Grit Grinder” hard hat by the coaching staff.
The Stars continue their road swing through the south west next Sunday with a stop in Shelburne vs the Wolves.
