Three Game Summary
Penatang game was a sleeper, Atom 1 and Oro 2 were very exciting games.
Despite the result we had against the Penatang Flames,
The team was pumped to play against the Stars Atom 1 team, and what an exciting game it was. The home team were also pumped and through the first period and half of the second period we were undersieged. Dru made numerous saves to keep it at 2-0. We finnally got our first shot on net at the 5.04 mark of the second period, which seemed to light a flame under us and the momentum changed to our favour. We managed to get one back to make it 2-1. The team had numerous chances to tie the score , but the Atom 1 keeper stood tall and stoned us
(6 breakaways). They were able to take a 3-1 lead on a lucky bounce. Our team pressured and were awarded a goal to make it 3-2. Making for an exciting finish.
Coach Perry pulled the our goaltender with 1.54 mins left in the thiird looking for the equalizer. Pressure was mounting but the Atom 1 team were able to clear the zone and get the empty net goal. making the final 4-2.
Bravo-Zulu to both teams and congrats to the Atom 1 team for the win.
