Atom 2, 2016-2017 (Wasaga Beach Minor Hockey)

We had a very short bench for this exciting home game. We played a well rounded game, with lots of passing and hustling back to help out our goalie. Our efforts paid off as we opened the scoring and kept the lead the whole game with a 7-4 win. Making that our 4th win in 6 games. Mateo got a taste of playing defense and scored a beauty goal in the 2nd, Ben, Joey, Luke and Devon all contributed to the score as well. This was a much deserved win, as the team played hard from beginning to end. Way to go Stars, keep up the amazing team work! 

Both teams came out ready to play, it was a scoreless first period. Revan was outstanding, he was unbeatable until the dying seconds of the 2nd period. We had some penalty trouble in the 3rd, and we lost 6-2 with our captain, Joey scoring our 2 goals.  A special thanks to our injured player Andrew, for helping out with the door and cheering on your team. We can't wait to have you back in the line up.

This was a much anticipated game, with some healthy rivalries! It was a very close first period, with both goalies keeping their teams in it, Wasaga 2 had a 1-0 lead. We added 2 more goals in the second to take a 3-0 lead, one being a power play goal just 5 seconds into it.  The 3rd period was a bit more physical, with Andrew taking a very hard hit against the boards. He did leave the game, but we are thrilled to hear he is doing well and for all of his amazing defensive efforts, he earned Player of the game. With the final score 6-0 we also need to praise our goalie, Revan on his shut out ...

This was a much better outing, we came out strong and remained consistant through out this game. Creemore was getting a bit rough, they had 6 penalties compared to our 1. The stars showed great poise as they didn't retaliate and we scored 2 power play goals, which came from Devon and Luke. Our whole team contributed to this win, it was so nice to see so many assists on the game sheet. Johnny had 3 assists and was so close to scoring on a few occasions. Ben had a goal and 2 assists as well, and our goalie played great as well. Keep up the great work wasaga #2!

We had a very slow start, and it didn't get much better through out the game. Our 2 goals were scored by Luke and assisted by Lukas. Our goalie Revan was very consistant and didn't give up, even when the going got tough! Our defense worked hard to keep the floaters in check, but it was a very hard task this game. Our player of the game went to Morgan, she showed great determination, keep up the hard work!
