Stars Shine in Stayner
Staying out of the penalty box will really help....Bobby Orr (and coach Paul too)

The Stars travelled to Stayner tonight to take on the Cyclones, ending with a victory for Wasaga and hopefully marking a turnaround to some tough luck lately.
With the Collins brothers lighting up the score board with a goal each over the first 2 periods for Wasaga, the Cyclones kept the game within a one goal spread and tied it up in the third period. Both goalies were hot tonight, with Shayne stopping an array of great shots from an energetic Stayner team. It was the team's leading scorer, the big #8, Riley, who kept his cool during some tough situations and was rewarded by landing the winning goal as his sniper shot found the back of the net late in the third period. One final buzzer "near" goal was just a little late off the stick of Jackson as he battled around the defense for a shot on the empty net in the final seconds. A great showing from the Cyclones who will no doubt be looking to even the score when the Stars and Cyclones meet up again on Sunday. Assists tonight going to the mighty Griffin and the speedy Patrick. So grab your toques (or earmuffs if you so desire) folks, stay warm, winter is here and playoff hockey is just around the corner.
