January 27 VS Elmvale Coyotes 1
Having suffering a lopsided defeat in their first meeting of the season, the much-improved Wasaga Stars rolled into Elmvale for a rematch with the Coyotes.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, the Stars drew even in the second frame when Dalton Risk (1G) grabbed a rebound and finished with a wraparound beauty. Wasaga took the lead minutes later when Jacob Curtis (1G, 1A) stepped into a shot close-in and found the twine. The whistles came out in the third, and the defense had to stay sharp as the Stars visited the Sin Bin three times in the period. Elmvale finally capitalized on the power play with a mere ten seconds left on the clock, and Wasaga had to settle for 2-2 tie.
